AKA: American Green Tree Frog
Origin: Southeastern U.S. (Semi-tropical climate) Classification: Amphibians
Adult Size: up to 3 inches
Active time: nocturnal
Temperature: room temp is fine (68-77 F), Under-Tank Heater is a good idea if needed
Humidity: high. Mist every morning (less bacterial build-up when you mist early in the day). Setup:
-aquariums work well -minimum 10 gallons, taller is better -screen top is a must! -Eco Earth, potting soil (no fertilizer), carpet -driftwood, corkbark, cleaned branches from outside, anything they can climb -shallow water dish (dechlorinated water, change daily!) -plants (plastic is easier b/c you won't need the lighting or worry about which ones are poisonous, can also use air ferns as long as you don't let them dry out) -Clean enclosure weekly with hot water, no soap!
Feeding: carnivorous. Crickets are easiest, but silkworms and phoenix worms are good too if you can get them. Dust with Calcium and Vitamin supplements 3 times per week http://www.anapsid.org/greentreefrog.html http://exoticpets.about.com/cs/frogsandtoads/a/amertreefrogs.htm
