Hello all and welcome to journeyoftheanimals.com. I would like to take a moment to address something that has come up a few time this week. I want it known that I make no money from this website. Yes there is some advertising on the site but that pays very little. As a matter of fact I only get a payout once I reach $100 earned. Can you believe I have yet to reach that mark? This website is just here in hopes that people will find it a little easier to find the proper care information for their animals. Do I hope to make money off this site? Of course I do. I would like to see the time where this site is bringing in a monthly income of some kind. If that day comes I plan on donating monthly to a yet unknown animal organization. Not the full amount mind you, but a percentage every month. Well with all that said, on with the show.
Creature feature image of the week. This image and others like it can be found in our funny animal picture section .

The world record frog jump is 33 feet 5.5 inches over the course of 3 consecutive leaps, achieved in May 1977 by a South African sharp-nosed frog called Santjie. The world's largest mammal, the blue whale, weighs 50 tons at birth. Fully grown, it weighs as much as 150 tons. The world's largest rodent is the Capybara. An Amazon water hog that looks like a guinea pig, it can weigh more than 100 pounds.
Answer for last weeks question was : Eely Q: If your voice had the same power in proportion to your weight as that of your canary, how far away could your kids hear you screaming: (a) 8 miles; (b) 80 miles; or (c) 800 miles?
